I'm curious as to the regionalism breakdowns. One thing to keep in
mind about the USA is that it's not only a big country, but is a
collection of people-groups with extensive variability. Anchorage,
Alaska is the only place I've been where there is no dominant
"mono-culture". Anywhere! Even London doesn't have the diversity of
Anchorage. Los Angeles would if all the neighborhoods were blended.

Anyway, I say this because life expediencies of the people groups here
are extremely variable with some barely making past 50, while others
are 80+. Same health care systems. Same resources. Same Costco and
Walmart stores. Sometimes, the same neighborhoods or even families! I
think this would be a fantastic location to study this as other
influences (money, opportunity, housing, climate, societal bias) are
highly leveled. (Alaska is, by far, the most socialist state in the
country and Anchorage is a young city).
