Thanks for that link.
My recommendation is to not get a dual-purpose taillight, but get an
absolute flame-thrower!
Drivers today are so incredibly distracted (especially TESLA drivers
that have to look at that iPAD for EVERYTHING!), that the old standard
of 3 to 5 seconds alert window now needs to extend to 10 seconds or
more. A super-bright flashing taillight (especially one that varies
the rhythm) can tell a driver a half minute ahead of time that there
is SOMETHING up ahead.
I've generally stopped riding on the roads because of the close calls.
Life is too short. I'd rather hike with the bears.
