We did many things in Copenhagen on Sunday, starting with a visit to my
mother’s grave (it was the 18th anniversary of her death), followed by a trip
to the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, a place I always visit when in town, and
a beer in Nyhavn in the afternoon. Six images from a pleasant day.

A family looking at a large painting by Chinese artist Liu Xiaodong. The
exhibition Uummannaq, consisting of his paintings and drawings from northern
Greenland, was the highlight of the visit:

One of the attractions of visiting Louisiana is the lunch in the museum’s
restaurant. It is a buffet of incredibly tasty, healthy, organic, and pretty
food:

In the afternoon my sister and I went to Nyhavn to have a beer at a bar where I
used to go with my father, another standing item on my Copenhagen itinerary.
While walking to the bar, I took in the human traffic along the canal, not
least this lovely redhead:

And finally, a different Nyhavn scene. There are some houseboats on the canal,
and in this image a man is trying to convince his dog to walk down the walkway
onto the boat. The dog is clearly not entirely sure—just look at the tail—but
she did make it in the end:
