I took my wife to Venice last weekend. It was the 40th anniversary of our
meeting and I had been promising to make the visit for a long time.
It had taken me a while as I wasn’t confident that it would be a rewarding
experience, that it would be full of tourists or that it would be overly
commercialised.
But I was wrong on all those points; it was very rewarding, the tourists
weren’t a problem (;-)) and it was very interesting. I took a few photos,
fewer than 500, I estimate, but some of them are on my SmugMug pages; this is
