| Thanks, Moose.  My reason for looking around the yard was a woodchuck,
or groundhog, that has been reeking havoc on my neighbor's and my yard.
I currently have a humane trap set, in hopes he gets a hankering for the
cantelope we  used as bait.  I would like to reintroduce him to the
distant wild.

I noticed a Monarch around today.  First, he had some competition for

Then, he found a spot all his own.

Nice!
We often see Monarchs this late or later in Maine. And a few years
ago, Mike, Marnie and I were gathered around one in Mass, shooting
away. :-)
