Thanks for the plug. Three weeks almost daily use makes me feel confident to
comment but expert designation is a stretch. TechartPro (Leica M to Sony E)
works reasonable well on A7RII. Only some of the adapters OM to Sonnie E work
well on the TAP so used the manufacturer's one
as too short on time to experiment. (leicist) It enables one to put in data
into exif too but only meters correctly on F2---thus use exp comp and change
aperture. FL must be entered into steadyshot for handheld use--if desired.
Eye AF does not work on A7RII but does on A9/A7RIII. Low light focusing is
slowish and mezza mezza in accuracy--fine in better light, Don't remember
using it past F11 though.
Eye AF should work on A7RIII but there is much pulsating. Techart says this
will be fixed with a firmware upgrade when their engineer can get to it---soon.
Yes, they admitted to having one and only one engineer.

My Cameraquest chipped adapter OM to Canyon has worked wonderfully on every
lens. I used a Rayqual C/Y adapter and was happy with it. I think they make
the Kindai/Camerquest ones.
On a tripod, Canyon is fine though the Sonnie sensor is a bit better in DR.
Handheld the EVF with focus peaking/mag LV or AF adapter makes the FF Sonnie
mirrorless a better choice. Sonnie can have IBIS as well.
AG is excellent in getting the best out of everything so matters less for him.

<<I use various MF glass on a simple A7 for my Alt/artistic/whatever
photography. It's a great platform for that, as so many lenses either designed
for less than optically perfect results or giving them at larger apertures
anyway are FF glass, and much of their aberrant magic is lost on crop sensors.
<<All but the last two images here were taken with A7 and MF glass.

Great gallery, glad had opportunity to look at them. Admire the aberrant
behavior especially swirl bokeh in the right situation. Perhaps need to
rephrase that. A7 can have a tad of sensor flare with specular highlights,
but not an issue for alt dot M in current use.
All Sonnie sensor stacks can degrade WA performance some in corners especially
RF lenses but will affect some Zuikos. Kolari mod can be done but rather a
heroic intervention. PCX lenses in front have been used to good effect.

My 2c, Mike
