Perkin-Elmer are still around, but I wonder if they are still in the remote
imaging business? They were 50 years ago, for they made the Vivitar solid
cat. And look what sold _two days ago_:

One of the companies uses the Vivitar Series 1 600mm solid cat.
Seriously. It's a modern revision of the classic 600/f8 solid cat
lens.
