One neighbor and his wife moved up to that area in the 1970's and lived 
there in the bush on the Yukon River for 20 years. Moved to the big city 
(Eagle) because of the kids. Just retired from the NPS Gates of the 
Arctic. Nobody retires and stays in AK.
