Before I was in high school, my Dad “upgraded” to a brand-new Sears, ordered
from the catalog, and handed down to me his old Praktika (labeled, “Made in
Occupied Germany”).
The irony is that, when I was in high school, shooting for the yearbook and
the school paper, he again upgraded and gave me his Sears. I peeled the
crudely-affixed “Sears” label off the pentaprism, and underneath, it said…
“Praktika.” :-)

If this were priced like old screw-mount Vivitars, I’d be tempted. But not for
an opening bid of $150.
