Interesting. It looks like they've taken the wi-fi from the E-M1 and eliminated the camera body while using the smartphone as the camera body and display. You can already do this (control and viewing via the smarphone) with the wi-fi capable bodies. Now they've just taken the body away.

Slightly different than that. It is indeed amazingly small and :

1. Not E-M1 based, as not the PDAF sensor. More like an E-M5 II, sans mechanical shutter, if one must make such a comparison.

2. It's also unique among Oly µ4/3 bodies in having no IBIS. Just no room for shutter and IBIS in that tiny cylinder. Think about that, a tiny, light body, with no conventional grip needs IS MORE than the others. Oly is pairing it in a kit with their pancake 14-42 EZ lens. Visually, a good match, especially with the auto lens cap. BUT - NO IS

The perfect matches for it are the tiny 12-32 and 35-100 OIS lenses Panny made for the GM series. The 12-32 is the same diameter as the Air, and a good visual match. It may be the perfect stealth camera, as phone and camera need not be near each other. No remote zoom control with those lens, though. The Panny 12-42 X lens has both power zoom and OIS, but is larger diameter and rather clunky looking on the Air

3. The WiFi app is much more comprehensive, stable and usable than the Oly app for their other cameras. It uses both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to get broader communication.
