I'd only spend that kind of money on a Leica lens to be attached to an
M body. I think Tina would approve of that.

If I was in the world of "money is no object--it's still cheaper than
a divorce" (boat/sportscar/airplane/affair) mentality, I could be
tempted to chase the latest/greatest all the time. But the problem I
have with the OTUS (and other similar lenses) is the complete money
throwaway aspect to them. Where Leica M lenses have a long-term
track-record of resale value, these latest/greatest lenses are not
much more than "flavor of the month". It's like being one of those
guys who put $100,000+ into turbos and what-not for a Toyota Celica
GT.

Seriously, guys, it's a Toyota, not a Lambo.
