Thanks. I feel better. But I still don't know when it's coming or how much it costs.

Deal breaker?

The Olympus E-M1 II's image sensor is not overlaid with an optical
low-pass filter, so per-pixel resolution should be maximized, although
this will be at the expense of an increased risk of moiré and false
color artifacts.

This is not new. The E-M5 II also has no AA filter. This is necessary
for the HR Mode to work:

Oly's current solution is to use low enough rez sensors to get away
without moire with no AA filter, then use sub pixel movements of the
sensor to make very high rez composite images with no moire at all and
better color accuracy.

With the E-M1 II, they have wisely stayed away from the 24 MP many were
hoping for. I hope it turns out that moire with the 20 MP sensor is at
worst only minor.

After writing that, i remembered that the Pen-F is already 20 MP. DPR says:

"One of our concerns about the Olympus E-M5 II was that, in an age where
24MP is commonplace, its 16MP sensor seemed a bit behind the times. The
PEN-F addresses this with a jump to 20MP. In Raw, detail is properly
resolved without aliasing to roughly Nyquist / √2, which is normal for a
Bayer type sensor and gives the 12% increase in linear resolution that
we'd expect to see from a 16 to 20MP jump."

My own reading of the DPR test images is the Pen-F has slightly better
rez with slightly more moire, but not objectionable, so it's a good
compromise. The E-M1 II should be fine.
