What's wrong with Canadians :-)
Mr Cruz claimed US citizenship as a "natural born" American, born to a
mother who was a US citizen but who resident outside the USA at the time
of birth.
Winston Churchill's mother was Lady Randolph Churchill, the former
Jeanette Jerome who was born in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn, New York in 1854.
Mother was obviously a US citizen. Churchill was born in the UK.
In 1963 President Kennedy awarded Winston Churchill honorary US citizenship.
Based on Mr Cruz's "natural born" citizenship status, Churchill would
also have been a "natural born" US citizen rendering the granting of
honorary citizenship in 1963 as nothing more than showmanship as he was
a US citizen from birth.
In the alternative, Churchill was never a "natural born" US citizen and
perhaps Mr Cruz is likewise !
