Yep, I've been keeping track of this. California needs the snowpack, but
a massive amount of rain like this is not going to be welcome. They've been
comparing this event with the El Nino of 1998, which resulted in widespread
flooding. Even so, it would take a number of successive years like this to
replenish what has been lost in the years of drought.
