Philippe,

I have tried in the past, and have not found a way to post RAW files, or send them to others. If you have a technique, I will be happy to send them to you.

After a couple of tries in LR I confirm what Chuck wrote. I would have like to
see the raf/raw/DNGs instead of jpegs.

Now, from what I see the E's smear the violet / purple colours, the fuji
doesn't that much and the white part of the flowers remains as result.

Keep experimenting and reporting Jim :-)

I suspect you are correct, Chuck. As Moose pointed out yesterday, Fujis are a
little different from the Olympus output. Any of these could be tweaked to
improve the results. I was mainly interested in maintaining comparable
settings to get what AG wanted, a comparison of the E-1 and the E510 outputs.

The Fuji sunlight definitely has a different color balance than the others but
is also about 2/3 stop brighter than the others. It looks much better when the
exposure is pared back.

I suspect further that twiddling the temperature in raw conversion will make it
look much more like the others.

Ken,

Since the Fuji X-E1 is the most modern camera I own, I decided to use it
as a "Control" for this experiment. I shot both sunlit and shady blooms
on the Buddleia Bush with the Fuji X-E1 & 18-55, the Olympus E-510 & ZD
14-54 v.1, and the Olympus E-1 & ZD 14-54 v.1, all at ISO 200 and f/8
(though the E-510 managed to get to f/16 somehow). I loaded the Fuji
shots in Picture Window Pro and used the "shade" shot to set color to
match a bloom that I clipped and brought in for comparison. After that,
I adjusted the illumination level slightly, but left everything else the
same during processing of the selected images. I did no cropping or
sharpening of the images.

My conclusion is that all of the "Shade" images are quite similar in
color, with some blurring from slow shutter speeds. The "Sunlight"
images vary, with the E-1 producing the best image, and the Fuji coming
in last.

You made see things differently. Here are the images:

Fuji Sunlight

E-510 Sunlight

E-1 Shade

E-1 Sunlight

I still feel that the E-1 does better than the others when photographing
flowers.
