Cats were initially designed as astronomical telescopes... both the Maksutov design (Questar and all small diameter mirror lenses) and the Schmidt-Cassegrain (Celestron & Meade from about 5" and larger). As telescopes, bokeh never entered the equation. :-)

to shortly after get rid of it.  ;-)
