It wouldn't hurt but, if the main exposure is long enough, a brief, minor jiggle of the camera won't likely last long enough to be visibly recorded.

      Okay, now I understand what you were saying.  I might add a lens cap or 
some form of cover when changing the aperture so as not to introduce any 
vibration into the image (MF lenses).  Does that seem reasonable?
