It wouldn't hurt but, if the main exposure is long enough, a brief,
minor jiggle of the camera won't likely last long enough to be visibly
recorded.

But consider that you can remove the flash from the camera and fire it
manually and do it many times if desired. That's called light painting.
Just keep yourself out of the photo while walking around with the flash.
Okay, now I understand what you were saying. I might add a lens cap or
some form of cover when changing the aperture so as not to introduce any
vibration into the image (MF lenses). Does that seem reasonable?
