Thanks for the recommendation Chris. Not sure if we have time to get up
to Durness this trip. I think the plan is to go from Lairg to Ullapool
but not to take the side trip to Durness. I'll have to check with the
"Activities Director". Another thing that we are finding is the plethora
of weekly rentals, Sat>Sat. Not a schedule that we of necessity will be
following. I can see that it works for those driving up though.
OK, the AD says we pick up a car 1pm in Inverness and have two days open
to get to Ullapool via Lairg. So there is the option to go up to
Tongue/Durness or via Loch Shin and find a place on the West Coast. We
have no idea if there is any good places at our price point (cheap) to
stay by the night along the coast north of Ullapool. I would assume
so...? We have another two days in Ullapool before taking the ferry.

Still going strong! The member churn but slowly. Must be because of the
brutal road schedule. Was sad to see Alan Reid was a casualty of the
road and Davey Steele passed away.
