Thanks!  WB was really tricky - as I mentioned, the only light on him 
was a single 250W flood light with a yellow gel over it.  Hard to WB for 
that.... Took some judicious slider tweaking in LR to pull out enough 
yellow and orange to make it look natural, but leaving just enough to 
keep the warmth of the original scene.

I was frustrated at first, trying to get sharp, non-blurred images even 
with that fast glass.  But then I remembered that I had clamped down on 
the auto-ISO to a 3200 limit, so I notched it up to 5000, and that made 
the difference.  A bit more grain, but a lot more sharp.  An acceptable 
tradeoff to me.
