Ouch! Fortunately my one deer strike was a doe who ran into the side of
my car after running out between two houses. She was moving pretty fast
but not 40-50 mph. Just a small dent in the left front fender just
ahead of the door where I think she hit it with her head. She didn't
fare very well as her rear half went under the left rear wheel and broke
her back. She had no control of her back legs. A sheriff's deputy had
to put her down with a pistol shot.
