If you're using a watermark to make it difficult to steal your work it 
has to be annoying as Bob said.  Nothing wrong with that at all.  If 
it's so easy to clone out, why bother.  I knew someone who put her 
"best" work up on the net in huge files and was shocked when someone 
stole it.  It's okay to have an obtrusive watermark.
