It all sounds sensible, and in fact I have always carried my spare batteries in
separate little plastic pill pouches (they look like mini-Ziplock bags) to
protect the terminal.
The only bit that is somewhat unrealistic is the OEM/aftermarket part. I use
aftermarket batteries in all my cameras (along with the original ones that came
with the camera). In the case of my Leica M8, I cannot even distinguish between
the two batteries myself. The idea that security in airports would check
whether your spares are original or not is ridiculous.
