Funny! :-)
All my lenses are coded so the M9 knows what lens it is. It knows the
shutter speed from the camera, and it know the ISO setting from the camera
(I unfortunately had it on 1600 ISO from an earlier shoot and forgot to put
it back on auto ISO). So the M needs to guess the f-stop and, in my
opinion, doesn't ever get it right. This shot was about f/8 or 11 if I
remember, probably f/8. Using f/1 with only 15-20 seconds to get this
beauty would have been a mistake as being able to get the eye in focus (and
that is all that would have been in focus) would have just been plain
lucky. So f/8 (or 11) made sense to me to ensure getting the focus right!
Loved the "sounds uncomfortable"!!
