Thanks for the heads up on that, Tina.
I was making a decent income from stock in the early and mid '90s and
then there was the shift of resources from print and multimedia to the
web. The web people wouldn't pay more than peanuts for anything and
used clip-art as a means to undermine the industry. Over the past five
years or so, I've done pretty well with stock sales through the
agency--in quantity. But I'm making absolutely nothing at $1 to $5 per
use. Screw that.
Stocks image sales and Herbalife have a lot in common. Only a select
few people make any money and they do so at the expense of everybody
else.
Probably the only place to make any money in photography as a
photographer today is in wedding photography. But even that is
dictated by local economics and competition.
