I have an 85-250 and I should give it a try with an adapter on the 
Canon.  That lens hasn't been used in many years.  The only usage I can 
actually recall is taking shots of the Boston skyline from about 10 
miles away.  Too much haze and wavy air to make any judgment on image 
quality.
