New leaves on a pin-oak ( or maybe a scarlet oak - these N. AM. oaks are
difficult to differentiate) just outside our (upstairs) bedroom window. Taken
handheld though the window-glass with OM E-3 and DZ 40-150 that I
bought (accidentally - yes, really) on our local auction site; for a relative
song.

It is the first week in November and is "should" be safe to plant tomatoes
outside. Well, not quite. Huey, as we call the weather-man - thought
otherwise. We had snow from the NW overnight down to not very far above
the dam just upstream of our house.
