    Ah, a cold snap.  :{b

    We've had more extreme heat advisories this year than I can recall for
any other year.  The current one will end tomorrow, and it extended over a
week or more.

    One evening last week the temperature did not drop below 110º until
7:45.

    Last year NWS recorded a high of 122º, and I measured 126º that same
day.  That's pretty much where my outside thermometer stops.  It's located
in a spot on the north side of the house that has full shade from the roof
eave and a Mesquite tree and is above shurbs and heavily mulched soil.
