Chuck, I added a link to a B&W conversion which may be easier to see the tones. 
 If I lighrened the entire photo, the glass was too bright.  Guess it's time I 
learned to use layers and selections, huh?  Thanks again.

I like it but have mixed feeling about the purple cast imparted to the 
white flower.  It should have such a color cast in that environment but 
still...
