Ah, that explains it...

Yes, my image is rather awful, it just came to mind because of the  
similarity (subject) to yours :-) Flash or tripod is always a good  
idea for Macro work, and at that time, I had neither, not the vision I  
have now. A lot happens in six+ years :-)
