Well, Jim it was good for Lear at those speeds, but the reason for the 
fatter fuselage is indeed for the flat floor. A spar laying across the aisle 
was a failing of the early Cessna Citations, but it is more difficult to 
design the wing to fuselage fairings of the newer designs. I don't know 
about fuel, but I'll bet some is in the wings. I'll ask a friend when I next 
see him. If you like the Premiere, get it now as it may bet discontinued.

Hi Chris,

I'm not sure that the "Coke bottle" shape is necessary at Mach 0.80, like it
is as you approach transonic speeds.  I believe that the fuselage depth was
chosen in order to pass the wing spar structure beneath the cabin, resulting
in a flat floor and better cabin height.  Because the wing is so thin, I
suspect all of the fuel is also carried beneath the floor, but I have no
real information on that.
