I'm gonna disagree a little with Bob. :-P   I think Chris has it right. The 
first two are properly exposed to the right, 
but that has left the midtones too dark. The last is just plain underexposed, 
with data petering out well before the top 
of the histogram.

With the tones brought up with Levels, the solitary one looks much better. 
Diddle a bit more, and I think it's my

The clump pops up nicely with some brightening, etc. too.
