[OM] PSE, ACR and JPEGs

In my last post I commented that I was evaluating PSE9 for a friend. 
The reason is that ACRs sliders make exposure and color adjustment very 
easy.  But the friend only has a P&S camera with no raw file capability. 
  I was hoping that ACR in PSE would have an option to work on JPEGs 
just as the full version of PS does.  But I can't find it if its there.

Anyone know how to coerce PSE's ACR to do JPEGS?
