I have lens tests from Modern Photo and Pop Photo posted here:

Including some from the OM 50/3.5 macro and OM 50/2 macro.
My take is the 50/3.5 is a serious bargain. Back in the day when both were
available, there was only about a $40-50 difference in price between them,
(both were in the $240-280 range), nowadays you are lucky to find a 50/2 macro
for under $400, while the 50/3.5 goes begging for $75.
