Yikes ... not another distraction. In one of my boxes of unpacked photo gear
I have a Vivitar bellows which has some non-intended shift/rise which I hope
to eliminate so that the desired movements will work. Pieces of film too
large to fit in an OM beckon loudly enough that that my OMs have to wait
patiently.

Unfortunately I also need to send a tilt-shift to Canon which also has some
unwanted shift :^( At least the glass is still fine.

Swing indeed, Jeff, how lax of me!

The rise is pretty solid, as you guessed, and the whole thing is
considerably smaller than the PB-4 (or Mynolta III no doubt).

If you're interested, I could be persuaded....

Oooh ... nice bellows. Looks like swing rather than tilt. Also looks like a
nice solid rise mechanism.

Forgive me, but there are examples of the CZJ Tessar 50/2.8 which would need
more than a little filing of the mirror.

Here's mine in profile:

And face on - see, CZJ Tessar 50/2.8 (well, you can just about see through
all the noise, but that is an illustration of how deeply recessed is the
front element):
http://www.hemy.me.uk/Miscellany/PC072539.JPG

Of course, it's a macro-Tessar, most at home on one of these:
http://www.hemy.me.uk/Miscellany/PC072541.JPG
http://www.hemy.me.uk/Miscellany/PC072545.JPG

It's a Kopil bellows with tilt on the front standard, and rise on front and
rear standards, in Exakta mount, with Exakta-to-4/3 adaptor. Not easy to
find, but a whole lot cheaper that a Nykon PB-4!

But this CZJ Tessar is not preset diaphragm - fully manual, no click stops.
