Amazing! It looks like it could be serviced without unbolting motormounts
and jacking up engine, unlike some American Cars of the seventies and
eighties. Fortunately, the sotock transmission and diff should be able to
handle t he power.

It's been done. Not by Mazda of course, but it's still a Miata (or
MX-5 as we call them) and a Mazda V6.
