I wonder if removing the dedicated IS button also makes activating IS
on demand impossible? On my E-520 I can activate IS anytime by just
pressing and holding the IS button down. This is _very_ useful when
focusing manually with Live View, especially with lenses >= 50mm.
It also demonstrates just how effective the IS system really is.
On the E-P1/2, however, the IS button was removed. You can still assign
IS Mode to a function button, but holding down this function button
does NOT activate IS. This is actually a deal-breaker for me, at
least for the E-P1/2.
