Nick,

Never owned the 24/2, but I have both the 21/2 and the 28/2 and in film they
were the two standbys for me. I can't imagine replacing them with any 24, as
I consider them to be bad comprimises. Good choice on your part.

It's on its way! Ed Sawyer was kind enough to sell me a 1-4N screen that
will replace the 2-4 in my OM-2n. I find the 1-4N screen to be a perfect
combination of brightness and contrast for the OM-1/2 bodies. Not quite as
bright as the 2-4, but easier to focus.

Thanks for the sales pitch Dawid. It is indeed a great lens, so great that
I was *this* close to listing the 21/2 I just bought from Iwert AND my 28/2
and keeping the 24/2 as my only wide angle OM. With the proceeds I was
hoping to make a foray into medium format. I only didn't because someone
else listed a very nice 21/2 literally minutes before I did on the same site
for lower than I would have listed it. I was already reluctant to sell, and
that clinched it. So now the 24/2 is going. It's been a great copy for me,
very sharp stopped down and reasonably so wide open. Plus, it comes with an
awesome rectangular Hama hood that took me months and a trip to Japan to
track down.
I figure I can wait until next year to make my foray into medium format (I'd
like to eventually get a Mamiya 7) and in the meantime will use the extra $$
for film and developer, oh and a 45/2 Planar for the Contax G1 I scored for
$135 (hey, I may be a Zuikoholic, but I know a good deal when I see one).
