Well, here in central Iowa, the animals are lining up two by two
again... We've had three days in a row of 3-4 inches of rain. It is
not often that I don't miss having a basement in the house, but this
is one time I'm glad to be 100% above ground (and possessing a brand
new roof). It's just getting nuts around here. Some parts of the state
are experiencing record flooding this year. Had one dam break a week
or so ago.
I-80 is about to close east of Des Moines... Other highways and roads
already closed. Fortunately, a different watershed than the one Joel
is downstream of.
