Sharp eyes, Rick. Yes, this Rose of Sharon attracts more insects than any
other plant in the yard. It makes a good studio for learning how to be
quick with closeups of insects.
My Nichols line came through Maryland, but I have never learned exactly
which part. Thomas Nichols took part in the Alabama campaign of the War of
1812, and was given a land grant in Mississippi.
