I text two to three times a month. It's useful for sending a quick
thought--usually a request for a favor--to someone you know is
working. For example, I might text my wife to bring home some bacon.
Saves a phone call with all the interruptions and such. Though the
fill-out-the-word feature is rather annoying. I befuddled it yesterday
by using the word flotsam in a text. Stupid phone didn't know how to
finish _that_ one. <g>
