It was and still is.
It's the popular name given to the eleven sided 1" diameter $1 coin.
The face side has changed since the first circulation which showed a
Canadian loon ...... a bird.
Subsequent issues have shown the House of Commons in Ottawa and Terry Fox,
the one legged runner and cancer amputee who died in 1981 having pulled out
of his cross Canada run.
The rear side shows the Queen's head.
