At least in Spain, there's another use for the word 'cristiano', with the
sense of... the Spanish language! Like "dilo en cristiano" ("say it in
Spanish", literally "say it in christian")
OTOH, the adjective 'católico' (catholic) has another obscure meaning: to be
in good shape or state. For instance "no estoy muy católico" (literally "I'm
not too much Catholic") really means "I don't feel very good" (ill).
