Whilst not the 250/2 I don't see the 180/2 characteristics being much 
different and these are shots taken with one such lens - some with 1.4 
attached. older listees may remember these shots

I should maybe  revisit these and tweak them a bit now I know better 
what to do (I have been paying attention to moose - honest!)

I once did a very crude a quick comparision between it and the 300/4.5 
and the much vaunted 80-200/2.8 Tamron - the main thing I noticed was 
that CA was almost none existent on the 180/2 but when challenged by a 
list member (chuck I think) to provise more evidence, something else 
came up and I never got around to testing further.

I am a man torn, I love my 180/2 (although this doesn't get carried 
often now) and 7/14 but I am dissapointed with my E3 so I will change 
bodies next year and at this time I am sure it will be  a 5DII  but then 
I will miss the 7/14.
