Sorta, kinda. I use Gmail, but not directly. I access it using Thunderbird.

However, the issue is the same. It's what I suppose Gmail would call a
"feature". I seem to recall asking them about it some time ago and
getting no help.

What happens is that Gmail sends to Trash(? at least it doesn't land in
the Inbox) incoming mail from the account owner that is the same as mail
sent from the account. I can sort of see the logic - why would I want
another copy of a mail I just sent. I could find no way around it within
Gmail.

So in your case and with the mail of Fernando's that he doesn't think
got to the list, but you just replied to, the sender doesn't see his/her
post in their own incoming list mail, but everybody else on the list
does receive it.

My personal solution was to set my outgoing SMTP server for Thunderbird
to a mail account on another ISP. That way, Gmail doesn't see my post as
a message I sent - and leaves it in my Inbox.

I suppose one could even set up a different Gmail account for only
outgoing mail. However, that depends on using a mail application like
Thunderbird, and I suppose MS Outlook's replacement. I doubt if outgoing
SMTP server can be changed in a Gmail account.

As I have a number of email accounts in various places, I much prefer
to use Thunderbird, rather than having to log into various sites to
check my mail. Thunderbird simply downloads mail from several accounts
into one standard interface where I can instantly see new mail
indicated. I like it very much.
