The LaCies are rebrands of NEC models, they are not changed in any way aside
from labeling and case color, so if you look by specs you should find the
same. The one I have was not only identical to the LaCie equivilent in
specs, but NEC marketed it as a graphics monitor with NEC's Spectraview
calibration software, which uses an Eye_One calibrator. You MUST use the NEC
software (or the LaCie version of the software if you got a Lacie) to
calibrate these monitors. Like most high-end monitors, they allow their own
calibration software to modify the internal lookup tables rather than just
adjusting the signal sent by the graphics card as other calibration software
like the Spyder and the Eye-One software does.

I tried to use the Eye-One software with mine to compare to the Spectraview
software and there was a big difference.
