Well, I know there is an apparent attraction of the British to the SW
USA -- Taos, Santa Fe, etc.  Goes back at least to D.H. Lawrence.  St.
Ansel also made many attractive, almost romantic photographs of the
area and the pueblo architecture.  It's hard not to feel the draw of
it.
