Microsoft® Money 2005 Internet-Based Services PolicyMicrosoft® Money 2005 Internet-Based Services Policy Microsoft® Money 2005 includes up to two (2) years of Internet-based Services. You will be able to use the Internet-based Services in Microsoft Money 2005 for a period of two (2) years from installation of the product or until September 1, 2007, whichever is earlier. After expiration, if you elect not to upgrade or are unable to upgrade to a version of Microsoft Money that continues to support Microsoft Money 2005 Internet-based Services, you will not be able to automatically update your accounts and investment values in Microsoft Money 2005. You will still be able to view and edit your financial data in Microsoft Money 2005 and to manually update your accounts and investment values. Microsoft may from time to time without notice, automatically download and install onto your computer updates for Microsoft Money, including updates necessary for you to continue to use the Internet-based Services. Please read below for more details. NOTE: Internet-Based Services are features of Microsoft Money 2005 that give you the ability to perform certain Internet-based financial tasks through the Microsoft Money 2005 client software. Your ability to perform certain Internet-based Services (such as Internet-based banking) may require that you obtain these services separately from your financial institution, with or without a fee. Microsoft reserves the right to modify or discontinue these Internet-based Services at any time, without notice. Internet-Based Services simplify managing your finances by allowing you to more easily accomplish key tasks within Microsoft Money 2005. Internet-based Services in Microsoft Money 2005 enable you to connect with financial institutions and make updating your financial data more automated and efficient. For users that utilize Internet-based Services, there will be notifications within Microsoft Money 2005 in advance of the date when Internet-based Services expire. To continue using Microsoft Money 2005 Internet-based Services after expiration, you can (i) upgrade to the then-current version of Microsoft Money to take advantage of the new and improved features of the most current version; or (ii) if there is no upgrade version available that continues to support Internet-based Services in Microsoft Money 2005, you will still be able to view and edit your financial data and to manually update your accounts and investment values. Microsoft may also from time to time without notice, automatically download and install onto your computer updates for Microsoft Money 2005. Some of these updates may be necessary to enable you to continue to use some or all of the Internet-based Services. To keep your Money information available on the Web in MSN Money, you must sign in to Microsoft Money with your Microsoft Passport Network credentials at least once every 18 months. Also, on MSN Money, account information and transactions that are older than 18 months will be periodically removed. The Money information on your computer will not be affected. If any of your Money information is removed from MSN Money due to inactivity, you can view it on MSN Money again by cancelling and then setting up access to your Money information on the Web again. Internet-based Services generally include the following functionality within Microsoft Money 2005: Financial Account Management Importing transaction, balance, and statement information for banking, credit card, investment, and 401(k) accounts.* Importing transaction, balance, and statement information directly from your financial institution. Background banking. *QIF file import (as backup files) will continue to be available. Internet-based Bill Payment & Funds Transfer Creating, changing, and canceling new, scheduled, or recurring payments or transfer of funds between financial institutions, and viewing the status of these payments and transfers. Investment Tracking Downloading updated currency exchange rates and updated prices for stocks, mutual funds, bonds, and other securities. Synchronization with MSN® Money Synchronizing financial data between Microsoft Money 2005 and MSN Money and viewing synchronized data. Miscellaneous Sending new messages to or receiving new messages from your financial institution from within Microsoft Money 2005.
