Ken,

I'm not sure what you mean by "without flattening the image too much", is
this in comparison to moving back and using a longer lens ?

A fellow Iowan has one of those nifty Zuiko 24/shift lenses. He's shown me
the bag it's contained in, but otherwise it remains an enigma. Not that I
mind, though, because he's letting me use his 35/shift.

I occasionally use the 35/shift for product style photography which is great
as it allows me to keep verticals vertical without flattening the image too
much. On the 4/3 system, it is an effective 70mm in AoV which gives me just
enough working distance. The 35/shift also takes standard 49mm filters.

The 17/shift of Canon's, if sharp, should be the cat's meow for interior
photographers.
