Yeah, I guess you are right. Asking somebody to bicycle their rumps off is
something that needs two cups of coffee to contemplate correctly.
My employer is putting a team together, so it will be semi-supported and we
get to stay in people's homes. So no need to worry about soggy tents in the
"refugee camp".
Whichever town RAGBRAI overnights in is temporarily the second most

RAGBRAI is unlike anything you've ever seen. Some view it as a weeklong
death-march on wheels, others view it as a legal way to "drink and drive"
all the way across an entire state. It's both one big rolling party and a
way to connect with friends from all over the world. On any given day you
can have over 20,000 bicyclists with an almost equal amount of support
people and visitors. For some people it's all about the bicycle, for others
it's about the culture, for some it's about the party. Take your pick and
you can hang out with like-minded people.
The "scenery" ain't too bad either.
