[OM] [OT] LED Christmas lights and an incandescent dimmer???

AFAIK raw LED's are DC beasties.? LED lamps for AC must have diodes hiding 
somewhere and perhaps current limiting resistors.
How that effects use of dimmer-not sure, but suspect they won't like it.
